Serving the village since 1987
Residents Association
A voice for everyone who calls the village, the coast road and the hillside home — on planning, environment and the everyday life of Pissouri. This website is a work in progress.
Our Mission
"Pissouri should grow without losing the reasons anyone wanted to live here."
The Pissouri Residents Association is an independent, volunteer-run body representing the people who live in and around the village — from the square and the church up through the hillside streets to the bay.
We liaise with the Community Council and local authorities on planning applications, road and water matters, waste and environment, and we organise the events that keep Pissouri feeling like a village rather than a postcode. Membership is open to every resident, regardless of how long you've been here or what street you live on.
What We Do
Not a to-do list — these are standing responsibilities the committee works on all year round, on behalf of every household in the association.
Tracking planning applications around the village and coastline, and raising resident concerns with the relevant authorities before decisions are made.
Beach clean-ups, tree planting on the hillside paths, and pressing for the upkeep of the bay, the riverbed and the surrounding countryside.
The village quiz, the Christmas market, the summer fete — the calendar of events that brings residents of every age and background together.
Reporting potholes, streetlighting and water issues to the Community Council, and following up until they're actually fixed.
